Culture of Peace quote

    ICAP Mission

    Human history has been marked by war and subjugation, hostility and carnage. Although humankind has known periods of peace, the potential for war has run like an undercurrent of human civilization. How can artistic endeavors tame the fire of hatred and impulse to use violence?

    ICAP's determination is to illuminate the wisdom and courage of great individuals so that others can learn the lessons for creating a culture of peace.

    ICAP Goals

    To promote the unique capacity of the performing arts to transcend national, cultural, racial, ethnic, religious and all other barriers that separate people and to serve as a powerful, meaningful and effective tool for peace building;

    To provide humanistic peace and nonviolence education for youth through dialogue and the performing arts;

    To acknowledge and celebrate excellence in the performing arts that promotes peace;

    To establish firm and fast partnerships with individuals and organizations working to achieve these goals.
