ICAP About Us

In order to create a culture of peace and develop peacemakers through the transformative power of the arts, ICAP was created by visionary artists such as Pascual and Angela Olivera, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Patrick Duffy and their mentor, Dr. Daisaku Ikeda, in March 2002. Through autumn 2008, ICAP has presented peace concerts, conducted peace-building workshops, created and sponsored exhibitions and honored extraordinary individuals on three continents. It is our cherished goal to continue expanding our circles of peace and friendship through culture and the arts around the globe.
